Wojtek Biczysko was born in Sopot. He graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture, Academy of Fine Arts (M. Fine Arts) in Gdansk, Poland. He currently lives and works in Toronto. His sculptures can be found in private collection in Canada, Germany, Holland, India, Monaco, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom and United States.
"I have chosen iron as my prime medium. Iron is born stars; it has been emerging from the play of energy, in fields far bigger than our world. Sometimes we find and transform these chunks of Quantum Turbulence. With new form they gain a new life as sculptures. They do no harm, remaining quietly, surrounded by our ever day, although they are born in supernovas and still bear a distant echo of violent explosions."
