Through drawing, performance, video, and installation, the New York-based Polish artist MONIKA WEISS explores the body and the peculiar space it inhabits between biology and culture. With INTERVALS, a selection of recent work, the artist, articulating intervals of time and space, proposes a site of eternal return, subtle motion, and gradual - almost invisible - change. The title of her exhibition was inspired by the word "interval", frequently heard in her installation "White Chalice (Ennoia)". With "Infinity Kisses II", CAROLEE SCHNEEMANN captures a ritual initiated by an ardent pet cat, emphasizing the sensuous colors and textures of an unexpected human and animal configuration. In Schneemann's most recent sculptural installation "SNAFU" the projected rhythms of the running horses illuminate white sculptural forms rising and falling on pulleys activated by motion sensors.
