"PLAGUE"
Tomaszewski investigates the narratives of space, interiors, architecture, and its elements. "Plague,Vol.1/December" is Merzbau-like in its nature, on the principle that it can grow forever. It is a place where various narratives intersect, intertwine, and mingle. It is a process in which different intentions and purposes get mixed up, whether intentionally or not.

"Plague,Vol.1/December" is also about an artist who adopts the interchangeable roles of a nostalgic movie-goer looking for an outlet; an armchair urban pianist; or a construction maniac who painstakingly struggles with ambitions of totality, with design that outgrows its own purpose.

Featured in the main gallery, the installation is accompanied by a series of drawings based on microscopic images of the ebola virus. The virus is used as a potential theme for explorations in architecture and design. Perhaps this very virus is the answer to the question why all those spaces are devoid of their inhabitants...
