Born 1947 in Wroclaw, she graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Sculpture Department, in 1971. That year, she and Przemyslaw Kwiek, who had graduated from the same studio at the Academy in 1970, formed an artistic duet they called Kwiekulik, and organized and operated in a private apartment, from their own funds, a so-called Independent Studio for Activities, Documentation and Propagation. Since 1987 she has been working individually, mainly on multiple-exposure black and white photographs, and also on installations, objects, video, and color photographs.
