In an effort to facilitate access to capital for small businesses, the Empowerment Zone has created the Business Resource and Investment Service Center, known as BRISC.  BRISC is a resource for loans, technical assistance and referrals.

BRISC lends between $50,000 and $250,000 to existing and start-up businesses that:

• Are located within or expanding into the Empowerment Zone
• Offer valued products or services that are non-existent/scarce in the Empowerment Zone
• Support anchor projects funded by the Empowerment Zone
