BRISC “DELIVERS”tO
PLUM POMIDOR
RESTAURANT
New York, NY – The family-owned and operated Plum Pomidor Restaurant got a big boost
to its expansion plans today when it was awarded a $250,000 Business Resource
& Investment Center (BRISC) loan.
The successful 58-seat restaurant in WashingtonHeights was started just over a year ago. Plum Pomidor Restaurant serves healthy,
contemporary eclectic style food, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.The restaurant has a full service kitchen
with a small-scale bakery and homemade pasta production, as well as a delivery/take
out station.In addition to food service
the business strives to involve high quality community resources, such as local
artists and performers, to attract customers. The owners are planning an
expansion of the restaurants services to include catering and expanded take out
and delivery service.The $250,000 loan
is for working capital and new equipment purchases to support the expansion.

provide this loan to Plum Pomidor so that can expand its services and reach a
greater number of people, while continuing to provide exemplary food to the

Manhattan.Loans are from $50,000 to
$250,000 in size, with a competitive fixed rate, a maximum seven year maturity
and there isn’t a job creation requirement.Additionally, BRISC technical assistance programs are available to
ensure the sustainability, profitability and growth of small businesses in the
Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone. Technical assistance includes consulting
services, workshops, seminars and access to a large “how-to” library.
